Notice of Proposed Property Tax Increase

For Southeastern Community Unit School District #337

Part I

A public hearing to approve a proposed tax levy increase for the Southeastern Community Unit School District #337 for 2025 will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. at the District Office, 90 West Green Street, Augusta, Illinois 62311.

Part II

The corporate and special purpose property taxes extended or abated for 2024 were $4,254,430. 

The proposed corporate and special purpose property taxes to be levied for 2025 are $4,892,400.  This represents a 15.00% increase over the previous year. 

Part III

The property taxes extended for debt service and public building commission leases for 2024 were $0. 

The estimated property taxes to be levied for debt service and public building commission lease for 2025 are $0.

Part IV

The total property taxes extended or abated for 2024 were $4,254,430.    

The estimated total property taxes to be levied for 2025 are $4,892,400.  This represents a 15.00% increase over the previous year.
