6th Grade - Geography

Geography is a study of the world's landforms, climates, and cultures.  The students will investigate a variety of the world's cultural regions with addition of current events for a deeper understanding.

7th Grade - World History

Ancient civilizations are the center of study in World History.  Some civilizations studied include the Mesopotamians, Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, and other European people.  Students are challenged to understand why these civilizations developed and how they may effect the world today.

8th Grade - United States History

The goal of U.S. History classes is to understand why the United States was formed and how it has progressed through the years.  Some highlights include studying both the U.S. and Illinois Constitution, the Colonial Period, U.S. Expansion, the Civil War and Lincoln Assassination, and 20th century turmoil involving the United States.
