On
Friday, December 7, 2007, there was a kidnapping at the Southeastern
Jr. High!! Students who read the required 600 minutes during Teen
Read Week were invited to attend the Murder Mystery Night party,
which this year, involved a kidnapping instead of a murder. During
this event, students were using their technology skills to solve the
kidnapping mystery. Each group was given tasks and clues they had
to solve by looking things up on the Internet. They were trying to
figure out which of the three suspects, played by three volunteer
parents, had committed the crime. After enjoying an evening of
pizza, soda, snacks, investigation, and fun, our suspect was caught
and arrested by Bill Twaddell, Hancock County Sheriff Deputy
Reserve. Mrs. Cindy Twidwell and Mrs. Carol Laffey would like to
thank all of the following parents who volunteered their time in
participating in their child’s educational events: Steve and
Valerie Peterson, Mark Thompson, Paul and Sue Henry, Bill and Julie
Twaddell, Sara Eifert, and Vicki Eilers. Special thanks also go out
to our staff volunteers, Mr. Daily and Mrs. Peggy Hesse, for helping
out. A fun evening was had by all!!
