“Integrity is telling myself the
truth. Honesty is telling the truth to other people.” Character Education teams began the day with a discussion about what honesty means to them. Then, students reflected and talked about a time when they were dishonest. Team members thought about and discussed the most honest person they know and the qualities they admire in that person. Teams performed honesty and dishonesty scenarios to show consequences of these behaviors. A presentation given by Carl Olson about the importance of honesty was inspiring to both students and staff. Later the students read the "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" followed by creating modern versions of the fable to perform in the gym. After plays were performed, teams participated in relays. The traveling trophy was awarded to the Purple Peaceful Penguins.
