Leadership Responsibilty Honesty Sportsmanship Bowling Citizenship Bullying Fairness Trustworthiness

Friday September 21, 2007 was Southeastern Jr. High’s character education day, with the focus being on citizenship. Everyone met in the gym for the unveiling of the 2007-08 t-shirts. Students participate in a “logo design” contest in computer class and are always anxious to see the winning designs. Congratulations to Amanda Kerker and Samantha McAllister, this year’s winners! Next students and staff performed two hours of community service. Some students worked at nursing homes, banks, gas stations, and libraries, while others picked up trash around Augusta, Bowen, Plymouth, and West Point. After returning to the school, teams worked together to design flags to represent their team name and logo. Students also modeled responsible citizenship by voting for student council officers. A final ceremony was held in the gym. Each team presented their team flags and the winner of the traveling trophy was announced. Congratulations to the Modest Mighty Ducks who were the September trophy winners!
