The Southeastern Jr. High students started out the Chinese New
Year celebration on Friday, February 8 with a gourmet feast of sweet and sour chicken and
fortune cookies for lunch. Later, a parade of decorations, made by the art
classes, went through the halls inviting students from the different
classrooms to join in. In the background, the band students played
Chinese music. Chinese clothing adorned Mrs. Laffey as she led the
parade into the gym. Once in the gym, Chinese
art projects were
judged, and student received prizes for their work.
