The focus of the October School Improvement Day was tolerance and bullying. Students met in their teams to discuss the various roles of those involved in bullying incidents: the bully, the victim, and the bystander. This discussion involved making a list of what the victims and bystanders should do when they are getting bullied, or when they witness someone getting bullied. Next teams watched a movie about kids who have been bullied and how it made them feel. This year teams made bulletin boards to portray how bullying hurts and what can be done to stop it. Then each team created a plan to present to the student council about how to stop bullying at Southeastern. Congratulations to the Red Rockhoppers, the winners of the October traveling trophy.
